Web Vulnerability Scanner

Review browser-accessible HTTPS, security headers, and basic server information for a website.

Features

  • Check HTTPS usage and common security headers
  • Review visible Server and X-Powered-By response headers
  • Show a summary score and response details

How to use it

  1. Enter a website URL you own or are authorized to assess.
  2. Run the browser-based scan.
  3. Review the response status, security checks, and missing headers.

Example and use cases

Review whether a website response exposes common security headers during a defensive configuration check.

Useful for a quick, non-invasive review of browser-accessible security configuration. This is not a penetration test.

Website Security Checker

Web Vulnerability Scanner

Check a website for common security configuration issues, security headers, HTTPS usage and basic information disclosure.

Enter a website URL you own or are authorized to assess.

Browser-based scanning is limited by CORS. This tool checks response information that the browser is allowed to access and does not perform exploitation, brute force, port scanning or destructive testing.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a full penetration testing tool?

No. This tool performs defensive configuration checks. It does not exploit vulnerabilities, perform brute-force attacks, port scanning or destructive testing.

Why does the scan sometimes fail?

Browsers enforce the same-origin policy. If the target website does not allow the browser request through CORS, the frontend cannot inspect its response.

Does the scanner exploit vulnerabilities?

No. The scanner only checks browser-accessible configuration information and does not send exploit payloads.

Does it check security headers?

Yes. It checks several commonly used security headers including Content-Security-Policy, Strict-Transport-Security, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy and Permissions-Policy.

Is a high score a guarantee that a website is secure?

No. The score only represents the checks performed by this tool. It is not a complete security assessment.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a full vulnerability or penetration test?

No. It checks browser-accessible response configuration and does not exploit vulnerabilities, scan ports, or guarantee that a website is secure.

Why might a scan fail?

Browsers block cross-origin requests unless the target allows them through CORS, so some sites cannot be inspected by this browser-based tool.
